Alex Turner plays solo version of ‘A Certain Romance’ in final Arctic Monkeys Sheffield gig
Alex Turner reverted back to his new electrum drum machine to put together a solo version of Arctic Monkeys fan favourite ‘A Certain Romance’.
The performance, coming in the final gig in a run of homecoming Sheffield concerts, also included a solo rendition of ‘Mardy Bum’.
In a set that opened with ‘Four Stars Out of Five’, ‘Brianstorm’, ‘Snap Out Of It’ and ‘Crying Lightning’, the Sheffield icons rolled through their extensive back catalogue in a career-spanning set.
Then, as the set began to come to a close, Turner stepped up with his drum loop to give fans a taste of ‘A Certain Romance’.
