Adrianne Lenker announces new 43-track live album and shares ‘Happiness’

Following the release of her Grammy and Brit Awards-nominated solo album, Bright Future, Adrianne Lenker has announced the release of a 120-minute immersive record, Live at Revolution Hall

The live album will document three days of touring her solo album in 2024. It will feature a number of different live performances, which see her cut into both popular songs, unreleased tracks and some of the deeper cuts.

One of the unreleased tracks that Lenker played during these three nights is ‘Happiness’ which was released on April 15th. The live version captures the magnitude of Lenker’s performance paired with serene intimacy.

Engineer Andrew Sarlo, who was responsible for the recordings, put together the album. He said that it wouldn’t have been possible for him to make it were it not for the “immense love and respect” that he has for Lenker.

“Watching the power of the music disarm and permeate feels a bit like an ‘I told ya so’ but I am still amazed every time,” he said, “From the sidelines I cheer.”

The album, Live at Revolution Hall, will be released digitally and on double cassette on April 24th. With the record, Lenker and Sarlo say they tried to change the way that live albums could be put together by playing around with the recording techniques and ensuring that the finished product sounded unique compared to other records.

Sarlo continued, “Clocking in around 120 minutes featuring songs & vignettes recorded exclusively on reel to reel cassette tape, there was an attempt to create a different spin on what a live album could be. Recorded over the span of 3-days while on the Bright Future tour, we put friendship at the focal point making this a loving memento from one friend to another.”
