It has been reported that Adele will be taking up a residency in Las Vegas, joining a list of legendary artists to have taken up the lucrative opportunity.
It has been reported that the British singer will be performing a lengthy spell of shows in the entertainment capital of the world, and will be staying in her home in Los Angeles. But how will she get there? I hear you ask. Well, according to multiple reports, she’ll be flying, of course. That private jet of hers will certainly make the commute a little less stressful, knocking it down to around 40 minutes.
The singer has said that she intends to take up her Las Vegas residency as soon as Covid-19 restrictions allow. One of Adele’s team told sources at the MailOnline: “Adele has very recently been talking to musicians that she has worked with before to gauge their availability, to see whether they could be in Vegas for the gigs. It is all very exciting.
“It would make her a lot of money but it would also mean she could have a routine. It would be hugely lucrative for her but also really fun. She loves performing live and there would be no shortage of people travelling to see her once the Covid restrictions are dropped.”
Adele’s last show took place in Wembley stadium way back in 2017 but was forced to cancel her last two tour dates after seriously damaging her vocal cords. However, after hosting Saturday Night Live in 2020, Adele implied that she would be making a return to music this year.
During her opening monologue on SNL, Adele explained why she wouldn’t be performing as the week’s musical guest as well. She also took the opportunity to give some more details surrounding the progress of her new album. About the record, she said: “My album’s not finished, and I’m also too scared to be both. I’d rather put on some wigs… have a glass of wine or six and just see what happens.” Well, welcome back Adele.
