Adam Driver has been confirmed to star in the upcoming sci-fi thriller 65 by Sony which will also see A Quiet Place writers Scott Beck and Bryan Woods write and direct, Deadline reports.
The Oscar nominee has a busy schedule so it remains currently unknown when 65 will go into production let alone reach cinemas. Driver still has to finish shooting Ridley Scott’sThe Last Duel which has just restarted production after being forced into stopping because of the pandemic.
When Driver finishes shooting that he then has to move on to shooting Scott’s Gucci, which will see him co-star opposite Lady Gaga and when that project is finished, he will be able to move on to 65.
Maurizio Gucci was the son of Rodolfo Gucci and grandson of Guccio Gucci, the original founder of the now-iconic fashion house of Gucci. Maurizio Gucci, who at one time was the head of the company, went on to sell his shares in a deal worth approximately $170 million in 1993. Two years after the deal, in 1995, Gucci was shot dead by a hitman.
After a long trial, Gucci’s ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani, who was dubbed ‘The Black Widow’ by the media, was sentenced to 29 years in prison for orchestrating his death. Reggiani would go on to serve 20 years of her sentence before being released in 2016 for good behaviour.
It’s safe to say that the next couple of years could be extraordinary even judging by Driver’s incredibly high standards and we can’t wait.
