Abigail Morris of The Last Dinner Party joins Hozier on stage
During several recent tour stops, Hozier has invited The Last Dinner Party vocalist Abigail Morris to the stage to sing ‘Work Song’.
The rising UK pop-rock act is currently supporting the Irish singer-songwriter on his current UK and Ireland tour. Morris has offered her enrapturing vocal talent to duet with Hozier on each night of the tour so far.
Hozier’s tour stops at Birmingham and Dublin this week before returning to Britain for a concert at London’s Ovo Arena Wembley on Friday, December 15th.
The Last Dinner Party have corralled a mammoth following throughout the year with a handful of popular singles. The band now sets its sights on a debut album. Titled Prelude To Ecstasy, the highly anticipated LP will hit the shelves in February 2024.
“Our whole mission statement is very theatrical,” guitarist Lizzie Morris told NME earlier in the year. “We love being intentional and indulgent. I mean, we have a composer! We want to flex that!”
“The glam rock, the historical fashion… It all comes from the ‘magpie’ visual culture we grew up with in the age of Tumblr,” bassist Georgia Davies added.
“You’d be scrolling through this dispassionate list of random shit all the time, just this massive blob of stuff. It would go from Pride & Prejudice to David Bowie to Effie Stonem from Skins, and you could pick up anything that looked interesting.”
This week, The Last Dinner Party called out disrespectful “lads” for posting “weird shit” about them on Twitter/X. “Need lads on here to know we see the weird shit you post about us and are highly unimpressed,” the band posted on the platform, adding, “Have some fucking decorum.”
