Nandi Bushell has shared a video of herself jamming with Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello and his son Roman. In the Instagram post, Nandi can be seen playing the drums, with Morello and Roman playing guitars in the background. Morello is regarded as one of the greatest guitarists of modern rock.
Nandi Bushell captioned the post with: “We have written an #Epic song together (not the one you hear in our sweet improvisational jam). Our new song is going to be released soon! I can’t wait for you all to hear it! Thank you for welcoming us into your beautiful family!”
Elsewhere, Bushell recently got to perform with The Foo Fighters, after the 11-year old joined them on stage at the Los Angeles Forum for a performance of their classic track ‘Everlong’. Bushell played the drum kit that had been bought centre stage and received a huge reaction from the crowd when she arrived on stage. Fans could barely contain their excitement and chanted her name as she left the stage.
In a recent interview, Bushell shared her feelings about the experience of playing with her idols: “It was so much fun. It was the best night of my entire life and I’ve had a lot of good nights.”
Last year, the young musician was given a model of Tom Morello’s signature Fender ‘Soul Power’ Stratocaster by the legendary guitarist. The young musician came to Morello’s attention after he saw her perform a version of Rage Against The Machine’s ‘Guerilla Radio’.
“I’d like you to have this guitar as a gift from me to you because you rock so great, and to see someone rocking so great who is so young, it really gives me hope for the future,” Morello said.
