Witness the spectacular hot air balloons of Cappadocia, Turkey

With unbeatable rocky landscapes and natural wonders that encapsulates you, Turkey’s Cappadocia is a place of true beauty. The hot air balloons send you high above it all to wonder at its splendour. Shaped by volcanic eruptions, the scene lends itself to landscapes of mythical legend. The breathtaking topography is impressive with its thousands of underground tunnels.

Cappadocia, a World Heritage site, has a rich and diverse cultural and political history that in itself is enough to visit this essential area of the world. But the views from the hot air balloons add to its spiritual heritage and help you get lost in Cappadocia’s natural delights.

Witnessing the meandering rivers whirl their way through the spiked mountains with the rose soaked skies, seeing out the end of the day in Cappadocia is a sight to behold. And the scene of hundreds of hot air balloons defying nature together is awe-inspiring.

Apparently, there are loads of tour companies in the area that offer plenty of different options. The standard hot air balloon flights tend to carry more people and don’t stay in the air too long… that said, they’re certainly the most cost-effective option. If you’re looking for something a little more expansive them there’s plenty of private companies that will cater to your needs.

Local information shows that flights can last anywhere from 45 minutes to two hours and you can get a standard flight for under £100. While the flight options stay open all year round, the most idyllic times to travel to the area is during the spring months of April to June our autumn’s September to October.

Royal Balloons, we’re told, can take you as high up as 3,000 feet. Kapadokya Balloons flight, meanwhile, is a daunting 6,000 feet on weekdays and 8,000 feet on the weekends.
