Actor and singer David Hasselhoff has released a surprise over of David Hasselhoff the Jesus and Mary Chain song ‘Head On’.

The song, written by Jim Reid and William Reid, was released as part of the band’s now iconic 1989 album Automatic of which ‘Head On’ acted as the record’s lead single.

The Hoff’s move into shoegaze marks the second single taken from his forthcoming new album, Open Your Eyes, which will be released on September 27 via Cleopatra Records.

For the new album, Hasselhoff has collaborated with the likes of country singer Charlie Daniels, the Stooges’ guitarist James Williamson, Todd Rundgren, and more who have all contributed in some form.

Elliot Easton, guitarist of the Cars, has joined forces with Hasselhoff for this cover of the Jesus and Mary Chain which is available to stream, below.
