After being responsible for one of Far Out’s favourite albums of last year in the shape of Manipulator, California garage-rocker Ty Segall has returned with ‘Mr Face’.

The song is the title-track from a new EP, which is set for release on Monday January 13th and has been intriguingly described by Segall as “the world’s first playable set of 3-D glasses.

Apparently you do get a free set of glasses with the record, but beyond that we’re not completely sure what the whole thing entails.

However, rather than worry about that, we thought we would simply bask in the glory of ‘Mr Face’, which has been chosen as our Track of the Day this fine Thursday.

After Manipulator signalled a slight change in direction and a move towards a more polished, glam-infused sound, ‘Mr Face’ returns to a more stripped-back style, taking on the kind of 60s psych-pop guise that was prevalent on 2013’s Sleeper.

Don’t just take our word for it though, stream it here via Bandcamp and get the EP in full via Famous Class Records.
