You’d be forgiven for thinking it has been longer than 12 months since our last 12″ from Ty Segall. His prolificacy with singles means that hardly a month goes by without some new music. However, when he releases new album Freedom’s Goblin on January 26th 2018, it will be one year since his last self-titled LP.

The announcement was made via the Conan O’Brien show last night before the band performed on the show. It was then confirmed by Drag City Records via their Instagram account.

We’ve yet to had confirmation of the tracklisting but with ‘The Main Pretender,’ (which you can hear below) ‘Alta,’ ‘Meaning,’ and ‘My Lady’s on Fire’ all being released in the last few months one might expect a few of these singles to pop up on the album.

One thing you can be sure of is that it will be fuzzy af.

Welp looks like the cat is out of the bag! NEW ALBUM FROM TY SEGALL!!! Freedom’s Goblin is out 1/26/2018!
