Since having to change their name Trudy and the Romance (aka Trudy) might have felt aggrieved with the legal implications of originally naming their band. But they needn’t have worried because following their latest take the infectious ‘Wild’ the name fits like a wet suit. Snug.

The Bill Ryder Jones produced track is a beautifully heartfelt bounce of the loving kind. It’s like your first crush from the fair, all lit up with fluorescent lust and rhythmic rides. It sounds something close to The Crookes, another band of lust-filled lovers, and Trudy and the Romance seem to have found their sound with this one.

It may be a little looser than the band are used to but it feels just right to us. Some dates to take a date to below.
