Thurston Moore has shared his new single ‘Cease Fire’ alongside a host of worldwide tour dates.

Moore’s last release ‘Chelsea’s Kiss’, came in support of Chelsea Manning, the United States Army soldier who was sentenced to 35 years in military prison for sharing information on WikiLeaks.

The new number, with heavy mid-song noise to appease the Sonic Youth admirers, is released with a statement against gun culture.

“Guns are designed to kill and we, as non-violent human beings, are against the killing of any person or animal. The song is also about the power of love, in all its freedom of choice.

“A power that no gun can extinguish as love will rule always. Melt down your guns and kiss your neighbour,” Moore said.
