Last night on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show, The Magic Gang AKA your new favourite indie-pop heroes, announced their brand new self-titled debut LP alongside premiering their track ‘Getting Along’ taken from the new record.

“We’re absolutely buzzing for it to come out, there’s a lot of new songs that no-one’s heard before that we’re most excited about.” the band told the Radio 1 presenter. The new LP will be out via the wonderful Yala! Records on March 16th.

“It’s our debut album – we could’ve put twelve brand new songs on there but we felt we owed it to new fans and existing fans to make it a documentation of the band so far,” said bassist Gus, and we couldn’t be happier with that.

‘Getting Along’ is available to stream right now and it’s another pop gem form a band who only seem to be growing in to themselves. This may be their biggest song yet as it crescendos and explodes in all the right places.

When the band started talking about the new track they said: “It was the first thing we recorded that’s on the album. This is the song that gave us the direction of the album. It sounded exactly as we wanted it to.”

With all that excitement in mind, take a listen to the new track and catch the band at the dates below.
