After recently announcing his new album Salad Days, Mac DeMarco is back to share the album’s second single. We’ve seen from ‘Passing Out Pieces’ that Salad Days as a whole is a more serious, contemplative affair than his previous releases, ‘Brother’ finds Mac more sincere than we’ve seen him to date.

“As I’m getting older, chip up on my shoulder…” is the opening line from Mac DeMarco’s second full-length LP Salad Days, the follow up to 2012’s lauded ‘Mac DeMarco 2’.  Despite a slightly slowed down Mac, he’s managed to hold onto his immediately recognisable warbling guitar that, along with dedicating every song to his sweetheart Kiara, makes the girls weak at the knees.

Written and recorded around a relentless touring schedule that’s continuing around his native Canada, North America along with a few stops down South with Brazil and Argentina, Mac will be back in the UK in May.

For now though, enjoy ‘Brother’.
