With festival announcements being thrown at us left, right and centre, Y Not Festival catches our eye for yet another year.

Planning their 10th anniversary show to follow-up from last year, Y Not have stepped up their efforts to pull what seems like a never-ending list of indie rock classics out of the bag.

For the first time ever, the Derbyshire festival showcases a line up that rivals some weekends with a £200+ price tag.

This unique little independent festival has always been a favourite of ours, and now it finally boasts a line up to put it up there with ‘the big boys’.

THE LINE UP SO FAR:

EDITORS / NOEL GALLAGHER’S HIGH FLYING BIRDS / MADNESS
HIVES / CATFISH AND THE BOTTLEMEN / THE CRIBS

MILKY CHANCE / BLOSSOMS / RAT BOY / NECK DEEP
PETER HOOK & THE LIGHT / COASTS / SUNSET SONS / LUCY ROSE
MOOSE BLOOD / LONELY THE BRAVE / PRETTY VICIOUS / EAGULLS

FAR OUT SAYS DON’T MISS:

The Cribs

Possibly not the first name that springs to mind when you think festival band, but having played a hugely triumphant headline set here just a few years ago, the Wakefield lads are Y Not veterans. Famous for their diverse and unpredictable set lists, the kings of Lo-Fi are sure to pull out all the stops.

Eagulls

Having just announced their second album, set to land in May, the Leeds five-piece are bringing their punk-rock prowess to Y Not Festival. With a whole string of UK and European 2016 dates coming up, Eagulls will be a wrecking ball of punk-rock momentum ready to do some damage to this little Derbyshire town.

The Sherlocks

The Sherlocks are one of the hottest unsigned acts around at the moment and they’re making waves across the UK. High profile support slots for the likes the Libertines and The Courteeners and handful of headline shows has allowed these lads to refine and perfect their live game over the last year, with big things on the horizon, they are not to be missed.

WHERE/WHEN: 29th-31st July, Pike Hall, Matlock – Derbyshire

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: Y Not Festival boast a large number of different stages each with a full line up. On top of that, there’s also a number of unique beers tents and bars that play host to their own bands and even unannounced performances. Keep an eye out for secret sets and hidden areas of the campsite that you might never know existed.y not festival
