The Night Trippin’ train rolls on, this week it stops in Nigeria to look at the impact the music has had on both African and western culture.
With a nod of the head to Afro Rock,  a style pioneered in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and Nigeria’s influx of Western string instruments, specifically the use of guitars and the chordal structure and progression alongside the synth.
The show will be looking at examples of both, expect Seun Kuti, Ofege, Ofo The Black Company and a whole load more.
Presented as always by Steven Dove, with Lee Thomas of Far Out Magazine.
