His new album Transangleic Exodus may drop on Friday (9th February), but that hasn’t stopped Far Out favourite, Ezra Furman, from dropping one hell of a new track. ’Maraschino-Red Dress $8.99 at Goodwill’ is the track and it’s a bit bloody brilliant.
The songs follows fan favourite ‘Love You So Bad’, ‘Driving Down To L.A.’ and ‘Suck The Blood From My Wound’ and lands more closely to Furman’s previous jiving output while still encapsulating his new band’s forward facing name ‘The Visions’.

The new album promises to be Furman’s most visceral and futureproof album to date. It is a tight balance between modernism and traditionalism, a battle which rages as violently as the music grabs your attention. Cool, classic and yet entirely undefinable Furman is making his name with this one.
’Maraschino-Red Dress $8.99 at Goodwill’ is definitely a shock to the system with its recharging synth and electric lyrical display. With it, Ezra is ushering in a whole new era, a new sound and essentially a new Ezra.
