David Bowie’s Volvo 262C Bertone Coupe has been sold for an eye-watering £160,000 at auction.

The auction took place in Switzerland and saw his Volvo262C, which was one of the last of the line produced in 1981, was delivered to Bowie’s Swiss home in June of that year.

According to Motoring Research, The car was initially registered under Bowie’s own name David Robert Jones, before transferring over to his record company Belway Bros. The vehicle was initially Intended for the American market and was built by Italian design house Bertone.

Sold for almost three-times it’s value, the car had just 33,000 miles on the clock.
