The brand new video from Melbourne maestro Courtney Barnett comes with a huge dollop of illustration, a dabble of artistry and silky sauce of social nuance, it’s all cauliflowers and corporate greed for ‘Dead Fox’.
Coming from the hugely critically acclaimed Sometimes I Sit and Think, Sometimes I Just Sit Barnett uses her expertise as a wordsmith to create a colloquial sculpture of a huge over-arching theme, and we all know Barnett is the best in the business as this. She takes a, what could be described as boring, subject and given it charm and charisma with the minimal of effort.
Backed up in this instance by the fantastic illustrations directed by Rory Kerr and Paul Routledge they blend perfectly with Barnett’s personality and add the homemade truth to this huge question.
Barnett has done it again.
