Oklahoma and Yorkshire made an imaginative child that was led astray by a wayward trio of influences that went by the names of Isaac Newton, Brian Eno and Serge Gainsbourg, that child is named Colourmusic.

In 2005, Nick Turner and Ryan Hendrix formed a band that has gained a reputation for marrying hallucinatory textures and experimental rock tropes with an off-kilter take on the world, exploring anything from writing songs based on Newton’s theory of colour to songs written at the tempo people have sex.

After a brief break, Colourmusic are back with our Track of the Day ‘Dreamgirl ’82’, the first release from their forthcoming new album May You Marry Rich, due 24th March on Memphis Industries.
