After weeks of teasing, we have it. We finally have it. Grizzly Bear have announced their upcoming album Painted Ruins will be released on 18th August. The Brooklyn band will also play a huge set of headline dates this year, which you can see below.

Then, to add to that, they have even given us a preview of the new album in ‘Mourning Sound’. As you might expect, it is a subtle yet suitably infectious piece of dream pop perfection. If ‘Mourning Sound’ is a taste of things to come, then we can safely assume that the five years since their last album Shields was time well spent.
